National Coupling Company (NCC) has achieved great success over the past 30 years manufacturing hydraulic couplings for the oil and gas industry. We have made a commitment to improve our manufacturing lead-time and decrease our outsourcing dependency.
NCC is proud to announce that as of 2008 coupling welding will be performed in-house. NCC welding procedures are compliant with NACE MR0175, API 6A, and ASME Section IX standards. Additionally, all qualification welding was witnessed and welding procedures were approved by Det Norske Veritas (DNV) to ensure our welding processes meet or exceed current industry standards. We have qualified weld procedures for welding austenitic, super duplex and Nitronic© series stainless steels, along with nickel alloys.
The NCC weldment procedure begins with tubing inspection and ultrasonic cleaning of the tubing prior to the actual welding process. All welds are fully inspected and documented by independent material inspection services using the latest non-destructive examination techniques. Each welded assembly is serialized and pressure tested with a digital data acquisition system to verify weld integrity. All welded assemblies are flushed to an NAS Class 6 cleanliness level. The finished assemblies are then hermetically sealed to prevent any ingress of contaminants and prepared for shipment. A complete documentation package that includes test results and pertinent material certificates accompanies all NCC welded assemblies.
