National Coupling Company, Inc. (NCC) is the worldwide leader in the subsea oil & gas industry for hydraulic coupling technology, performance and installed base. NCC’s proven field history is evidenced by the supply of over 280,000 hydraulic couplings to subsea projects since 1976. We offer more than 2800 different male and female coupling designs qualified for a broad range of subsea applications. Our couplings are used virtually everywhere that a reliable hydraulic connection is required in the subsea environment. The NCC hydraulic coupling product line provides significant benefits to equipment suppliers and operators in terms of packaging versatility and highest reliability as the industry moves into ultra deep water and XHPHT applications.
NCC features 11 series of subsea hydraulic coupling products. We currently offer 6 series of primary metal seal / secondary elastomer seal couplings and 5 series of primary elastomer seal only couplings. NCC combines over 130 years of in-house coupling engineering expertise with our patented seal technology to provide cost effective and reliable coupling solutions qualified to meet specific customer requirements. Over time we have built a field-proven portfolio of coupling designs that give our customers the flexibility to obtain the right solution for their application. Our 1/8” to 1 ½” nominal size coupling series are available for flow requirements ranging from .17 Cv to 15 Cv, working pressures up to 17,500 PSI, service temperatures up to 350F, water depths up to 18,000 FSW and have been qualified with extensive testing per our general test program.
Each coupling series features unique design characteristics which allow our customers to meet the requirements of a broad range of subsea applications. These applications range from low pressure, shallow water connections to the most critical component of high pressure, high temperature (HPHT) and ultra deep water depths in operation today. As XHPHT projects continue to raise the bar, NCC continues to answer the industry’s call for increased temperature and working pressure requirements.
